Buster Soccer Academy
Camp Information
Session Limits Each session will be limited (in number). This summer all sessions are at Garden City Community College campers will be able to train and play at Memorial Stadium –field turf soccer stadium on GCHS campus - and other area soccer fields. Check in/Check out Overnight campers will check in between 12 and 2 pm on the first day and commuter campers will begin checking in at 2:15 pm. An all-camp meeting will begin at 3:30 pm. The Academy session ends at 11:00 am on the last day of camp and all campers need to check out by 12:00 pm.
Commuters at Camp Commuters have the same camp experience in terms of instruction. Lunch is provided for the commuters, however commuter fees do not include lodging or breakfast. Commuter campers must arrive by 8:15 am and check in with their assigned coach at the field area on subsequent camp days. The commuters’ day ends at approximately 4:45 pm.
Supervision Mature and responsible staff members supervise all activities both on and off the field. No one is allowed to leave campus or leave their group during camp. We have security on duty in the dorms.
Free Time There is practically no free time. We give every camper a full day of soccer training. We want serious players who want to improve.
Swim Time Camp vans take overnight campers to the “Big Pool” for those who want to go.
Extra Spending Money Meals are all-you-can-eat and included in the cost. The snack bar is open daily and some campers like to order pizza for a night snack.
Medical Staff Athletic trainers are on staff 24 hours a day.
College Recruiting Information All high school upperclassmen will be offered a college recruiting information session and an opportunity to tour the GCCC campus.
Soccer Ball NEW! Custom Buster Soccer Ball. All Campers that are overnight and full day get a camp ball. If you are a half day camper you can purchase the camp ball for $20.00.
Refunds No refunds of the deposit are issued. All requests for refunds must be in writing and each refund will be handled on a case-to-case basis.
Camp Ball Each camper must have a soccer ball at camp. Bring your own ball or purchase a custom-made, hand-stitched Buster soccer ball. Buster Soccer Academy has created a specially designed soccer ball for the campers with the the Buster logo. The ball is available at cost for only $20 while supplies last.
Camp Insurance All campers must have health insurance to attend any of the Buster Soccer Camps.
Eligibility Campers must be at least 5 years of age. New NCAA legislation allows high school graduates to attend camp.
Team Training Teams are encouraged to attend camp as a group. Field players will train together, while goalkeepers have their own sessions and rejoin their teams for matches. Teams can room together on the same residence hall floor. Nothing can take the place of a week together in a total soccer environment for team development and unity. When teams of 10 or more attend camp as a group, one coach attends free.
Transportation Buster Soccer Academy will have shuttles going to the Garden City Airport, and well as the Garden City train station for those who are coming in from out of town.
