In 2008 GCCC won the Region VI title, Plains District Championship, and went to the NJCAA Final Four. They finished the season #4 in the country, and a record of 19-3-1. Garden City also had 7 players named to the All Conference team, 7 players named All Region team, 1 KJCCC Freshmen of the Year, and 2 NJCAA All Americans. The Busters are one of the leaders in the country in sending players to the next level; as they have players playing NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and numerous players in the Professional ranks.
